Dr. Okoro has worked as a primary care physician and primary care doctor for over 12 years. In addition to being a PCP, she has been a board-certified weight loss doctor for 4 years and actively invests in continuing education courses. She is currently holds a medical license in 11 states. Dr. Okoro is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and received her Texas Medical License in 2015. She is also board certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine and the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine.
Kimberly (Kimber) Schmidt is a dedicated family nurse practitioner with a passion for weight management, wellness and preventative medicine. In addition to being a PCP, she also practices medical weight loss with RescueMD. After completing her bachelor's degree in nursing from Stephen F. Austin State University, she moved to Dallas from East Texas and started her career at Baylor Dallas, where she obtained an extensive background in neurology as well as heart and vascular procedures. She later earned her master's degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and became a certified nurse practitioner before transitioning to a primary care role in Dallas.
Joyce Garrison is a primary care provider. In addition to being a PCP, she also practices medical weight loss with RescueMD. Joyce sees patients at RescueMD in McKinney and Allen, Texas. Joyce earned a master's in physician assistant studies at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. This rigorous program honed her skills and abilities to practice as a physician assistant. It instilled a commitment to lifelong learning by staying up to date with the most current evidence-based medicine.
Alice Kayirangwa has been a primary care provider for many years. In addition to being a PCP, she also practices medical weight loss with RescueMD. Alice's journey to success is truly remarkable. Coming to the United States from East Africa at a young age, she faced numerous challenges while adapting to a new country and culture. Despite those challenges, Alice fearlessly embraced the opportunities that came her way, determined to carve her own path to success. Through sheer determination and an unwavering work ethic, she has emerged as an inspiration to others in the medical field.
Brooke Taylor, MCN, RDN, LD is a licensed registered dietitian with a passion for equipping patients with the knowledge and skills to take control of their health. Since a very young age, Brooke has had a desire to help people find tangible ways to take control of their health without forfeiting things that they love in life, their culture, or their life savings. This desire coupled with a deep love for food and health led her into the field of nutrition and dietetics. After completing bachelor’s degrees in Anthropology and Biology from the University of North Texas. She went on to complete a Master of Clinical Nutrition from UT Southwestern Medical Center. During her coordinated master’s program, she became equipped both scholastically and practically to provide evidenced-based nutrition counseling by participating in numerous intern opportunities while digging deep into the science of nutrition in the setting of varying disease states & points within the lifecycle.
